5 Bodalla Place, or Compass House as it has been named for its ability to provide ‘a new direction in energy efficient building design’, is owned by the two Rudds Directors and has been purpose designed and built as the headquarters for Rudds Consulting Engineers by Rudds' own personnel.
This project continues Rudds’ involvement in the Majura Valley development, having already contributed to the Majura Parkway project, Majura Office Park, Majura Park Shopping Centre, as well as a number of other retail & commercial buildings around the airport precinct.
The NATSEM International Microsimulation Centre provides many benefits to the University of Canberra. The building consists of 680m2 of office space, 467m2 of teaching space, 210m2 of accommodation, a large kitchen and the corresponding circulation space and amenities.
Rudds were contracted to design a new fitout for the Australian Embassy in Lima, Peru. The fitout consists of 1296m2 of floor space for the Australian Embassy staff and support agencies in the Miracorp Building, located in the Lima suburb of Miraflores.
This project involved the installation of two new diesel generators and several UPS units into an existing facility, all the while ensuring the facility remained fully operational during the installation. Both the design, which was undertaken in accordance with Defence Standards, and project management of the overall project were performed by Rudds Consulting Engineers under a Head Consultant arrangement.
